Bill by the phase, not the guess

A build isn't one invoice, it's fourteen. Foundation, framing, roof, rough-in, finish — each one due at a different moment. QuixChex holds the whole draw schedule and bills each phase when it's actually done.

Why construction is different

Where It Gets Hard

Progress billing is a spreadsheet nobody trusts

Every phase is a line with its own amount and its own trigger. Bill it when it's signed off, not when someone remembers.

Deposits and retainage get lost between phases

Take a deposit up front and hold the balance against completion, on the same job record as the work itself.

Change orders arrive faster than paperwork

Add the line, price it, get it approved and bill it — without rebuilding the schedule from scratch.

How a job runs

One Job, Start to Finish

The job is set up as phases with amounts against them. Your super marks framing complete from site with photos attached; that phase bills. The client can see what's been done and what they've paid without ringing the office for a statement.

FAQ

Questions, Answered

Can I bill a deposit and then the balance?

Yes. Split any phase into a deposit and a balance, or into as many draws as the contract calls for. Each one bills on its own trigger.

What about change orders mid-build?

Add them as new line items on the same job. They price, approve and bill alongside the original schedule instead of becoming a separate invoice nobody can reconcile later.

Can subs and crews be tracked against a job?

Yes. Assign people to a job, capture their hours from real clock-ins, and see who's on site on the map while they're on the clock.
