One customer, six protected sites, six plans charging at once. A hundred sites on the $45 plan is $4,500 a month of recurring revenue, and it’s charged one site at a time. The install that put each system in is a separate job, and the technician days stay on it.
A restaurant group already has two locations on the account, each on its own plan. The third gets a proposal — the $650 system, four cameras at $225 each and $1,200 of access control — and once it’s approved that’s a job at the new address. Two technicians spend the Tuesday there, which is two days of labour on the install. The install bills once the system is in, and the $65 premium plan starts on that location the same day. One customer, three sites, three plans, one statement.
1
The proposal becomes the job
Panel, cameras and access control priced against the site they’re going on. Approve it and that becomes a job on that site, still carrying the device list and the prices that were proposed.
2
The install carries the days it took
The day on site, and the half day it takes to come back and finish, are both recorded against the install — a day and a half at that technician’s day rate. Nobody adds it up afterwards from memory.
3
The plan starts the day the system goes live
From then on the plan charges on that site — $45 basic, or $65 if it went in with video. It doesn’t need re-sending, and which sites are live isn’t something anyone has to remember.
System live. Site billing. Paid.
Monitoring, Installs and Sites
Sites on one account, on different rates
A site is priced on what went in — $45 here, $65 where video and cellular are on it, a $10 cellular add-on on the basic plans that still need the backup. That’s six lines on one account, each at the rate that site agreed to.
A two-day install that took three days
The technicians who worked it go on the install with the days they put in, beside the $650 system itself. An install running a day over shows up while it’s still running, early enough to price the next one differently.
Still monitored, and no longer paying
The charge retries and the site gets flagged. A site that’s still monitored on a card that stopped working is $45 a month, and it shows up in what didn’t collect.
A takeover has monitoring but no install
Start the monthly plan on a site with no job attached. A customer switching from another company bills from day one, and the first service call you run there is the first job on that address.

FAQ
Questions, Answered
Can one customer have monitoring on several sites?
Yes. Each site gets a plan of its own, priced on what’s installed there and whichever add-ons it carries, and all of them bill under the one customer. A property company with nine buildings can have nine different rates and still be one account.
Can the install and the monitoring bill separately?
Yes. The install is a job with labour on it and it bills when the work’s done. The monitoring is separate — a monthly charge in that site’s name that carries on after the technicians have gone.
Does it handle a takeover with no install?
Yes. Record the site with whatever panel is already on the wall, its account ID and how many devices are on it, then start the plan. There’s no job in the way, so the monitoring bills from the day the account moves over to you.
Where does the labour on an install end up?
On the install itself. Each technician who worked it is costed onto that job by the day, so the labour inside a $650 system sits on the record with the equipment. A service call two years later is priced out the same way.
Can a customer add sensors later?
Yes. A later visit is its own job on the same site — two $55 sensors and a $195 doorbell camera billed on it — and the monthly plan doesn’t change.
Does QuixChex receive signals from the central station?
No. Signals stay with your central station and your panels. This is the customer, the site, the plan and the money — what gets billed, what got installed and who was on site.
